Class of 2011 graduate Kevin Gomez, above left, with 6th grade student Tyrese, and above right working with all our students at Field Day on 15 June 2017.  Kevin is a rising sophomore at La Salle University in Philadelphia, and volunteered full time at our school in May and June of this year as part of the contact program for the Lasallian Christian Brothers.

We are are so proud of our 158 young men who have graduated from our school since its inception. We are happy to continue to celebrate our college graduates, from The De La Salle School classes of 2007, 2008 and 2009.  These young men have graduated from Manhattan College, Molloy College, SUNY Farmingdale, Hofstra University and Adelphi University.   This year also, members of our class of 2013 have graduated from Catholic high schools, including Chaminade High School, Kellenberg Memorial High School, and Holy Trinity Diocesan High School.   These young men will join many of our other graduates at colleges and universities; among the four year colleges where they will be studying are Alfred State University, Hofstra University, La Salle University, Manhattan College, Marist College, Molloy College, Mount St. Mary’s College, St. John’s University, Syracuse University, St. Thomas Aquinas College and SUNY Buffalo, SUNY Farmingdale and SUNY Purchase.

Our Graduate Support Program provides these young men with financial support for Catholic high school tuition, and we provide targeted tutoring services, including high level SAT Prep courses during the high school years.  We also assist our young men with college admissions and financial aid, including arranging for college visits, and helping with scholarship applications.  Every Tuesday during the school year, more than 30 of our graduates in  high school regularly return after school to our school for a program that includes food, fellowship, tutoring services, sports and college admission assistance.  Our graduates know that they always have a home here at The De La Salle School, and we give them the support they would not be able to get anyplace else.
