  • student body comes from Freeport, Roosevelt, Uniondale, Hempstead, Elmont, Rosedale, Baldwin, Westbury, and Copiague and represents more than a dozen countries
  • more than 77 percent of our students qualify for free or reduced price federal lunch
  • celebrated two graduating classes of eighth graders and all of our alumni were accepted to private Catholic high schools
  • in 2006 - 2007 more than 95 percent of our students raised their reading skills one full grade level in less than ten months
  • schedules field trips to New York Hall of Science, Long Island Children's Museum, Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School, Adams Playhouse at Hofstra University, Alley Pond Park, Firefighters' Museum in Garden City, and more.
  • offers "Extended Day" study time and social activities Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3:30 to 5 PM
  • participates in extra-curricular activities such as week long visits to Spring Brook Farm in Vermont for the Farms for City Kids program
